On the night of 31st December, after 12 o'clock, the fireworks sound started trembling all around. The sky sparkled with fireworks. The sound of fireworks and the light let everyone know that the new English year has arrived. Would it be so happy if the new year did not start at midnight? The sky could be made to shine in the light?
Yes, I understood, But what would have happened if it was 10 o'clock at night. No, because then the balance would have been lost. The midst time between sunset and sunrise is considered to be midnight. Because, from then on, the process of sunrise on the eastern horizon started. That's why the English New Year comes at midnight.
The Bengali New Year, however, begins with sunrise. But there is no fixed time for sunrise. To keep track of the English New Year, it's considered that the new day starts from 12 o'clock at night.
